The importance of good pool maintenance cannot be stressed enough. Not only is it much nicer to swim in crystal clear water, but pool water that isn’t treated properly can be a danger to health. In addition, not looking after your pool properly can be very expensive when equipment is damaged and has to be replaced. The pool maintenance part of this site is designed to help you avoid such problems.
We have a separate page devoted to the problems caused by poor pool maintenance, which is well worth looking at. These problems include leaks, burst pipes, broken heat exchangers and boilers, green water, sometimes dangerous pool water, damaged tiles, cracked coping stones, premature pump failure, unsafe electrics, inability to heat the pool, damaged covers and liners that need to be replaced, the list goes on.
All these problems are avoidable, but this does require either you to take responsibility for proper pool care or for you to get some help, which we can provide.
If you are happy to do some of the pool maintenance yourself, the best thing to do is to try and get into a regular routine. To help you do this, we have prepared a Pool maintenance routine that you can view online or print out, which covers the things you need to do to keep your pool water properly balanced and crystal clear and avoid any unnecessary damage to pool equipment.
