PHENOL RED
To test for pH levels in pool or spa water, the ideal readings should be between 7.4 - 7.6 (ppm), use 5 drops for accurate readings. Compatible with the Rainbow test kit.
How to use:
- Fill large tube/vial (with water to be tested) to the solid line.
- Add 1 drop of solution #4 (Chlorine Neutralizer) - Add 2 drops if Chlorine level is above 1.5 ppm/Bromine above 3.5 ppm.
- Add 5 drops of solution #2 (pH Test) and mix by swirling. Compare test results to pH colour standards chart.
- If reading is above 7.8 ppm, perform Acid Demand Test (Solution #3) using the same water sample. Adjust the total alkalinity if required, before adjusting the pH.
